Hi! I’ve been the pastor here at Shoreline for about 1,865 days and counting. I was a pastor in
Southern California for a good deal longer than that, starting a church, having three children (my wife Annette helped with that by the way), growing a church, raising rabbits, learning how to BBQ and writing various books, articles, and study guides. I’m a devoted fan of J.R. Tolkien, CS Lewis, J.K. Rowling, USC Trojan football, my wife Annette, flannel sheets and my home made tacos. I once built a 3--bunny hutch with a picture out of a book, some wood, a brand new electric drill and approximately 3,412 screws! My greatest passion, however, is following Jesus with all I am, serving Him, telling others about Hm, and wondering how I got so lucky that I got to do this for a living.

Pastor to Youth and College
Jon Harris
My name is Jon Harris. Some friends call me J-Har. I am the High School and College Pastor. I got my degree in Biblical Studies, with an emphasis in Youth Ministry. It took me 7 years but hey, at least I got it. I picked the worst location to be a pastor. It is really difficult to be living in the environment of Santa Barbara. The scenery is terrible, the beaches are dirty and the weather is cold. But on a serious note, I love High School and College Students. I love to play sports and go to the beach. I love being able to help people grow in their relationship with God on a daily basis. It is a blessing being part of God’s plan in furthering His Kingdom. The people at Shoreline are really Awesome! They are caring, warm-hearted and are very friendly. Come and visit us soon.

Robert Hodge
I grew up in a nominal Christian home; Lutheran by infant baptism (my mother’s Norwegian side), Methodist Sunday School, Episcopal confirmation, and eventually found Christ as my Savior through the “Youth for Christ” ministry during high school. Whew! Thank you, Lord!
My wife and I have three children and five grandchildren. I am retired having pastored locally for 35 years.
Shoreline Community Church has been my home church for five years. I volunteer with Kids’ Klub, helping with the Wednesday and Sunday programs and am “Pastor of the Day” once a week. Life for me at Shoreline is exciting. I’m learning Spanish as I visit in the neighborhood. Many opportunities arise for me to share my faith and there are challenges to spiritual growth and service that strengthen me.

Hi! My name is Sharon O’Reilly. I work (?) in the office on Tuesday afternoon’s. I am married to Dan O’Reilly, Mother of Jenny & Dana Treloar, grandmother of Mckenzie and Logan Treloar and cousin of Mary & Louis Sanchez. (WHEW) I am a native of Santa Barbara and remember when you could cruse State Street, swing through The Blue Onion & gas was 25 cents. I also volunteer at DAWG, helping to find the dogs their “Forever Home”. That’s where we got our sweet little dog Suzette. We fostered her, her brother & sisters, mom & dad and she ended up adopting us!! I also volunteer at Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network. I rehab opossums (the babies really are cute) until they are old enough or healthy enough to be released back into the wild. Shoreline Church has been such a blessing to me and my family I’m thankful to be in a position where I can give back to the church. As Children's Ministry director at Shoreline I am fortunate enough to do what I love most, work
with children. I am absolutely sure this is why I was attracted to and married my husband Craig, the biggest kid I know! I also have two amazing sons and daughter-in-laws who have blessed me with three grandchildren. I work for Santa Barbara City College in the Early Childhood lab school as a teacher. You have probably realized that my life is filled with children! However, I also enjoy reading, taking long walks, watching movies that are not scary, and exercising – yes exercising!

Kathryn Mallett
Kathryn enjoys helping in the church office and with church related activities.
She likes singing, exercising, and just plain living in Santa Barbara which is the most ideal place she has ever seen. Before coming here she lived 32 years outside the U.S., three of them in Costa Rica as a teacher in elementary school and manager of a family dairy farm, then 29 years in Puerto Rico where she worked first as a highschool English teacher and later as a paralegal in charge of trademarks in the largest law firm on the island.

I was born and raised in Portland, OR, but have also lived in Idaho and California. I enjoy music, photography, running, flying, and building things with my hands, but am passionate about worship! I have been involved in worship ministry since high school and have been serving as a worship leader now for about eight years, using piano and guitar. God is so good.
